Important reminders for parents

• Please do not be late. We need to maintain the schedule in order for the day to run smoothly so will have to move forward with team photos without athletes if they have not arrived on time.

• Label all items of your athlete’s comp outfit (jacket, pants, water bottle). There will be many of the same size and same item in the gym and we want to prevent anyone missing pieces before the first competition.

• What athletes should bring and wear:

  Your athlete should be wearing their labeled full comp outfit including:

  -black pants and black shoes of their choice

  -Sylvia P sparkly comp leotard (+ approved shorts if wanted)

  -purple LGE warm up jacket

  -hair in comp bun (high or low is athlete preference)

  -team backpacks where they can keep their items in

  -snacks (as they rotate through the photo/team sister station, they will be able to have a snack)

Check-In Process

For Athletes:

When they arrive at the gym, they should enter through the rec side and find their team spot on the floor. They can put their clothing inside their backpacks. Comp leotards only will be worn for photos (approved shorts are fine if they plan to compete in them). They will do their team photos first before being split up into groups for the showcase.

For Parents:

After dropping your athlete off on the recreation side of the gym, please proceed to the team side to find seating. We kindly ask that all shoes be removed before entering the gym floor to help preserve its condition.

Showcase - what to expect

The girls will enter the team side of the gym with their assigned teams and be announced. Please note, these teams may differ from their regular practice groups, which is common at meets. After announcements, they will stand for the national anthem before events begin.

They will rotate through four stations—beam, bars, vault, and floor. For showcase only, there will be a fifth rotation for individual photos and “team sister” encouragement notes. If a gymnast has opted out of photos, she will use that time to write her notes, eat and stretch.

This experience is designed to help the athletes feel more confident and understand what to expect at their first meet—without the added pressure of receiving a score. It allows them to build muscle memory and make any final adjustments to their routines before performing in front of judges.

Families are welcome and encouraged to cheer for their athletes throughout the showcase. We want to celebrate all the hard work they’ve put in since May!
